Camera "seeds" bring Harvest of land!

I would like to share a testimony of how God can supernaturally multiply seeds that are sown.  I am currently on the mission field in rural Illinois with a wonderful Pastor from Nigeria names Sam Ohah.  We have been doing some street ministry as well as door to door evangelism. He is a a real soldier as he is in his fifties and has been weathering the heat better than I have.  Anyway, he works in the norther part of Nigeria which is dominated in population by Muslims.  His church runs a school which allows poor children (many of the Muslim) to attend school for free.  The school is private and of course they learn about Jesus and have times of prayer etc.  Anyway, his church had been looking for land and had placed in their hearts a choice piece of property in their area but it was owned by a Muslim family.  The leadership of the church one more than one occasion had approached the Muslim family about purchasing the land.  Each time they abused the Christians and sent them away.

Pastor Sam's land has been used for the Harvest of Souls!
Jesus said, the fields are ripe for the harvest!

Pastor Sam went away to another part of Nigeria to be part of a 4 day conference.  At this time The Spirit of the LORD put on his heart to give away his very nice video camera that his church had been using. He had carried it to the conference in order to record his preaching there.  After some inner struggle, he gave the camera to the Church.

The very next morning he received a call from his wife saying that a man had came to her saying that he was interested in selling the property and quickly.  Sam called the man and arranged to meet him soon after his return to his home city.  The young man had inherited the property and actually had an offer from a rich Nigerian navy official.  This navy official had made an offer on the property but wanted the young man to travel to another city to do the paperwork with his lawyer.  The young Muslim who was prideful became angry and told the man that he would not sell his property to him because he said that the lawyer should come to him.

Sam and his church ended up purchasing the property from the young Muslim man for about half of the navy official's offer.

Just today, 08/03/2011,  another missionary named Don Phinney gave Sam a digital camera with some accessories saying that the Lord had spoken to him to give Sam the camera.  At this time, he had not heard this testimony.  God has a sense of humor!  Brother Don runs a drug/alcohol recovery and discipleship program in Washington state and currently has his property on the market because the county is giving him some problems about his ministry's use of the land.  He has actually closed down the ministry until he can sell the property and acquire more property in a better location with less government influence.  We are believing that God will multiply his camera seed and give him an above market price sale on his existing property and will provide him a great new piece of land for the ministry!

Please pray for the sale of the property and the purchase of new land.

From Potential Murderer to Jesus!

Dawn and I have been working with the youth this past month. We have been placed in charge of the youth ministry by the church we have teamed up with in Virginia.

There is such a strong satanic attack upon young people. I do not over exaggerate when I say it is easier for us to do street ministry in the ghettos to the gang members, drug addicts, and prostitutes, than to many of these youths. However, God has shown up multiple times in great power and deliverance throughout this past month.

There was one young man named, “Mark” who came to our class. He is 16 years old, and originally from Nigeria, Africa. He had so much hatred, fear, and anger within him. You could see it on his face. The Lord told me clearly, “If he doesn’t get delivered, he has the potential to murder people.”
The first several days he was in class he would not participate at all. He did not want anything to do with anything we were doing. All of our attempts to call forth his destiny, and bring forth the deliverance he desperately needed were not working.

The Holy Spirit finally gave us the strategy on how to get the breakthrough for “Mark.” Mark began to soften and participate throughout this particular class day. He actually began to smile and laugh, and enjoy the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

At the end of the class I asked the youths if any of them wanted to rededicate their lives to the Lord. Mark came up to me privately and said, “I don’t believe in Christianity. I tried Christianity in Nigeria. It was nothing but religion, and I didn’t like it.”

I responded, “I’m in agreement with you. I don’t like religion either. What I am offering to you is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Religion is dull, and does not produce life. Jesus is fun, and produces life. Did you have fun in class today?”

Mark answered, “Yes, I did.”

“You had fun because God was in our midst. Do you want to begin your own personal relationship with God?”

Mark replied, “Yes, I do.”

I then lead Mark through the sinner’s prayer. He received Jesus Christ into his heart as his personal Lord and Savior. He then got filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues. (See Matthew 3:11, Acts 19:1-6, Mark 16:17.)

Mark attended our class for the following two weeks before heading home to New York. He went from the worst student, to the best in a matter of days. His entire countenance and demeanor transformed before our very eyes.

This Testimony was given by Nathan and Dawn Pietsch who are currently full time domestic missionaries.   For prayer or personal ministry please contact them via www.allsufficientgod.org

We hope that this testimony will encourage you to believe God for the salvation of the youth in your town and will encourage you to share the Love of Jesus to as many people as you can.

As Jesus said....Truly the field is white with the Harvest.  Souls are out there waiting to be released by the Shed Blood of Jesus and the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes lack is a real blessing!

I am involved in street ministry and I remember a time recently that I was headed into the City of Richmond to do some evangelism.  I was all alone and had in mind a certain part of the City near the major hospital and city hall.  Parking is available in this area but you have to either pay for a lot or feed the meter. At this time in my ministry, I was in a season of stretching my faith and was very low on funds....meaning I didn't even have change for the parking meter.  So I was forced to park in a different section of town about 6-8 blocks away from my destination.

I parked and as usual I started to hand out gospel tracts along the way to my destination.  On the way, I stopped to talk with a man who runs a fruit and vegetable stand in that part of the city.  As it turns out, he is also a believer. We had fellowship for a bit and encouraged each other.  I gave him some gospel tracts to pass out to the homeless people who happen by his stand etc.  Over the next few weeks and months, we developed a friendship and my ministry has been able to supply him with gospel literature (which we get free from www.wmpress.org and www.fellowshiptractleague.com).  He has been faithful to hand out the gospel literature.

On this same trip where I was lacking the funds to pay the parking meter I also found the Richmond International House of Prayer.  (http://www.rihop.com/)  The House of prayer is located directly across the street from this man's fruit stand.

Also from this diving appointment I was shown on television for a very short time.  One day I was down there visiting Brother Tim who runs the fruit stand and he was being interviewed by the local news.  They got a shot of me as I was talking to him and of course on my shirt in big letters were the words "TRUST JESUS".

I hope this testimony encourages you to give thanks to the LORD in all things and remember the JOY of the LORD is our strength.  Remember the Apostle Paul said that he had learned to be content wheather in plently or in lack.  And as this testimony shows sometimes the lack can be a real blessing.

ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE GOD.

This testimony has been shared by Jason Cowan of the Church of the Open Air.  He can be contacted for prayer and personal ministry via this blog.

Door knocking leads to a harvest!

This is a testimony of how God used myself and a faithful saint named Pastor Sam from Nigeria to bring in a soul via the door knocking method!  Door knocking really works.  The church plant that we were supporting had some plastic door hanging bags in which we placed a few gospel tracts, a letter of invitation form the Pastor, and a small postcard with the church service times on it, etc.

We started out the day kind of slow with most people either not being home or not coming to the door. Throughout the day the Lord would give us some encouragement via the kindness of professing Christians who came to the door and shared a few words.  In the early afternoon, we were outside of a small apartment complex when a man and his wife drove up and got out of their truck. After a few short introductions, the man explained how he had recently have some deaths in his family and had actually purchased a bible .  He further explained that he even wanted to start attending a church but that nobody had invited him to a church.  Even thought he had lived in the town for about a year he was still sort of new to the town and he didn't get out much.  He ended up asking Jesus Christ to be his savior.   He and his wife came to the church plant the next night at the evening service!  Praise be to God!

Saints,  The fields are truly white for the harvest.  I hope that you will take a few minutes to share the Love of Jesus with someone today.  There are many souls out there struggling through life and not knowing that Jesus has all the answers.

There are so many ways to evangelize....you can go the mall or public park and read your bible....stay there and pray and ask the Lord to bring someone to you....or you could hand out a gospel tract at the checkout counter or in passing in the parking lot.  You don't have to cross the oceans to share the gospel when there are lost people in your own back yard!

Help Me tell the youth

Help me tell the youth

When I was serving a 4 year sentenace in Kaduna central prison, I had an encounter that I feel strongly led of God to share with you.  You will be blessed as you read this testimony.  Just a few weeks before going to prision, I gave my lift to Christ in a retreat campground.  The pastor was preaching a powerful message titled a “New life in Christ”.  I went to the retreat ground not for the purpose of hearing the gospel but with the intention of stealing things.  As God would have it, a one time violent criminal made a decision to surrender his life to Jesus Christ.  I realized that I was a sinner in need of a savior.  My life of sin and crime had put me at odds with a holy and just God.

About two weeks after giving my life to Christ, I faced a robbery charge in court.  I testified truthfully in the case admittting that I was the leader of the gang that had robbed a bank.  I choose to testifly honestly, when I could have lied and perhaps gotten off.  I ended up getting a four year sentance without an option of paying a fine.

Bubbling in my new found faith, and my deliverance from crime, I landed in Kaduna Central prision.  In this prision, I fervently witnessed to anyone who came my way.  This included both fellow inmates and the prision authorities.  I would share how that before I was in crime but now I was forgiven and walking with Christ.  A few days later, I started a group called PRISON WITNESSING TEAM (PWT), with a few other inmates.  We quickly agreed on having joint prayer and fasting, bible study, and witnessing from cell to cell.  The next saturday was Easter saturday, we decided to witness to the condemned criminals.   I came to four young boys in the same cell ranging in age from 20 to 24 years.  I asked them if they would like me to share the gospel with them.

They all said yes.  With joy I opened my bible to Dueteronomy 30:19, which says, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing.  Choose life, that both you and your seed may live.”  I told them that God was not responsible for our coming to prison or our suffering. Instead it was becuase of our choices.  We had before us life and blessing in one group, and death and cursing in another and that God advises everyone to reject death and cursing and to choose life and blessing so that we can live and fulfill destiny.  While I was still sharing, the youngest of the four boys started weeping. His tears could not stop me.  I continued and when I was about to lead them to Christ, I asked him if he had something to share with us.  He nodded his head and cleaned his tears.  Then he said, “you are not the one who has spoken but God used you to speak to me”.  I asked him what do you mean.  He said four months ago, exactly on the 26th of December, my grandmother took me into her small room, opened an old bible, and read exactly the same passage that you have just read to us.  She told me that before me is life and death, blessing and cursing and that God wants me to choose life and to accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior.  The young man told me that he immediately became offended when his grandmother advised him to accept Christ and start going to church.  He said to her, “how do you expect me to start going to church at my young age.  This is my time to enjoy me youth, when I become old I will then start going to church and start serving God”.  The young man banged the door behind his grandmother and traveled to Port Harcort, where he me the other three young men in the cell with him.  In Port Harcort, they robbed and killed a man who was coming from the bank.  The young men fled to Abuja where they spent the money on many criminal activities.   After the money ran out, they robbed a family and got some more money.  A few days later these four young men were arrested and condemned to death.

By this time in the story we were all in tears.  The young man said, “can you see the reason why I said that you were not the one who spoke to us.  It was God.  How could it be the same passage and message that I rejected 4 months ago.  He cried so loud that prisioners in other cells could hear.  Wheeping he said, “ I MADE A WRONG CHOICE, I HAD AN OPORTUNITY TO CHOSE LIFE AND BLESSING BUT INSTEAD I CHOOSE DEATH AND CURSING. THAT IS WHY I AM HERE”.

You that are reading this testimony.  What choice are you making?  “THIS DAY, I CALL HEAVEN AND EARTH TO RECORD AGAINST YOU, THAT BEFORE YOU IS LIFE AND BLESSING OR DEATH AND CURSING, CHOOSE LIFE THAT BOTH YOU AND YOUR SEED MAY LIVE.  WHY NOT ACCEPT JESUS NOW?

THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT TO A MAN,  BUT THE END THEREOF IS DEATH.  Proverbs 16:25

The young man told me somethign that I will not forget all the days of my life.  He said, “please, if you are priveledged to go out of this prison, help me tell the youth, tell them that I MADE THE WRONG CHOICE.”  I had the opportunity to choose life, but i choose death.  Three days later the four young men where executed.

The young man could have repented and followed Christ possibly fulfilling a wonderful destiny that God had for him. Instead he chose to wait until later and begin a life a crime.  He life was cut short but thankfully, God gave him a chance to get right with him before he died.  This young man cried out for forgiveness through Christ.  I hope that you will seek the Lord while are still able.  You never know when you will die. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.
If you would like to ask Jesus Christ to be your Lord and savior today.  Please pray a simple prayer like the one listed below.
make your life count for something and surrender to the call of God.
1)  Confess (agree with God) that you have sinned and have been in rebellion against God. 1 John 1:9
2)  Repent (turn away)  from all that God calls sin. Your consience will direct you.
Acts 3:19, 26:20
3)  Believe (trust in and rely upon) that Jesus Christ is God and that he died on the cross for your sins. John 3:16, Romans 10:8-10
4)  Recieve him into your heart as your savior and your lord. You can do this simply by praying (talking) to God like a close friend.  John 1: 12

Father in Heaven,  I come to you today in the name of Jesus Christ,  I know that I have sinned against you, please forgive me of my sins.  I believe that Jesus Christ, died for my sins and rose again on the 3rd day by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Please make me to be born again and teach me to live a life that is pleasing to you. Help me to not want to do bad things anymore.  Please baptize me in the Holy Spirit.

God multiplies financial seed...bigtime!

I am a domestic missionary who is involved in street ministry and encouraging the Body of Christ in taking the gospel outside of the walls of the church building.   One part of my ministry is making prayer station banners to be given away freely and prayerfully to people who will use them.  For more information on prayer station evangelism please click here.

Anyway, when I was called into the ministry I went through some stripping down by my heavenly Father.  I was feeling the call of God on my life but I had a good job at a bank and wanted to have a "secure" feeling about going into the ministry full time.   It turns out I was really running from my call and making Jonah look like an amature.  I kept thinking when I have "X" amount of money saved up then I will go into the ministry.  As it turned out that God wanted me sooner rather than later and he wanted me to learn to trust him for everything.  I ended up giving up my nice job at a bank, and after several attempts at starting my own business failed, I finally had nothing to do other than ministry..... My whale experience was giving up my job, two failed businesses among other things.  Anyway, needless to say for a season I was without tons of extra cash.  I never lacked anything in the way of food and clothing etc. God has and always be very faithful.

For a season I would be scraping by and learning to believe God for daily necessities and for greater things.  One night during the worship portion of a church service another missionary brother came to me and gave me $20.00 cash saying that God had spoken to him and he wanted to be obedient.  I gladly received the cash as I was in desperate need of the cash to purchase some material for some prayer stations that I had made for an African Pastor who was leaving very soon. I wanted to be able to give the banners to him before he went back to Africa and I had printed the text on the prayer station in his African language.  Finding another person to use the banners could have taken some time etc.  Anyway, I was thinking to myself, "thank you God for meeting this time sensitive need!"

Then came a great trail....or at least I though so.  During the offering time, The Lord said...give the $20.00 in the offering.  I had a quick talk with the LORD......I was really questioning if I was hearing him correctly because I was in need of some funds to complete the prayer stations for the African pastor and it was time sensitive.  Then God spoke again...."If you give it I will give you $20,000"....I decided to give the $20.00 in the offering.  Approximately,3- 6 weeks later.....I received a donation for my Church of over $20,000 from a friend who had received an inheritance.  Since that time, I have continued to sow and be a giver.

God wants us to be a flowing river in all areas of our lives.  Contrast this with a reservoir where water just collects and can become stagnant.  We should be givers of all that we get....spiritually and materially.  If we have received wisdom and salvation from God....we should be giving out spiritual wisdom and doing evangelism.  It's not a question of "If" we have received material blessing from the LORD...all good things come from above...and he wants us to prayerfully share what we have with those who have a need.

When you meet an old friend or a new acquaintance...try throwing up a quick prayer and ask the Lord..."what kindness can I show this person?"   You might be surprised to hear that they just need a hug, or someone to listen to them, or $20 for gas.  He knows what you have and what THEY need....and wants to be a matchmaker.  Just be willing and open...then someone will be willing and open to meet your needs...and his name is JESUS!

I hope this testimony encourages you to be a giver of both your time and resources to the LORD.  There are so many promises in the bible of God's faithfulness in provision, etc.  Please believe God for your daily necessities and for finances for yourself and ministry.  Sowing and reaping is a Kingdom principle!

If he was willing to give HIS only begotten SON, how much more is he willing to give to those who honor and acknowledge him.

Without Faith....It is impossible to please God.

God makes a way when there is no way!

Here is a powerfull testimony of God’s provision.

This testimony takes place when Pastor Sam Ohah was lead of the Lord to travel from his home country of Nigeria to Ghana to preach in Sawan Prision.  Pastor Sam was previously in prision himself for armed robbery.  He was gloriously saved  two weeks prior to being sent to Prison.  Shortly after arriving in prison he began a ministry team of inmates called the Prision witnessing team.  Ever since his release from Prision he has been a faithful witness for Christ both in and out of Prison.

Sam has a heart to see the Captives set free by the  blood of Jesus. Please pray for a harvest of  souls and share the love of Jesus with someone today!

Sam was invited to preach in Ghana and after prayer God confirmed that he was leading him to preach in Ghana.  At the time Sam did not have the finances in hand to travel to Ghana and for his necessary expenses while in Ghana.  A wealthy Christian businessman promised to sponsor his trip. Sam and this man agreed upon a certain date when Sam could pick up the money for his trip. On the agreed upon date, Sam traveled from his home state of Kaduna Nigeria  to Legos Nigeria,  where the man lived.  He showed up at his house to find that the man had gone on international business trip.  To Sam’s suprise the man had not left the money or a note giving instructions on how to recieve the finances.  Sam then went to the man’s place of business and after checking with the secretary he was informed that the man had left no provision.

Sam was disappointed and was currently without the necessary funds to even return to him home in a different city in Nigeria.  Sam met up with a Pastor Friend he knew in Legos.  His pastor friend agreed to try to help him collect the funds to make his return trip to Kaduna.  The pastor could not immediately help him as he intended to make some pastoral visits.  While waiting at the Pastor’s house, Sam began to pray and asking God why the disappointment, etc.  After about an hour, God spoke to him that he was sending him Ghana and not back home to Kaduna.  Sam asked God, How can I go to Ghana?.  God responded, get up and go to Ghana. Being radically obedient, Sam gathered his things and with his last money got a taxi to the bus station in Legos.

Sam was suprised that the man had left no fiances for this trip to Ghana.

Upon arrival at the bus station, Sam got into the small car that would serve as his transportation.  In this city, it is customary to load the passengers and luggage and while in route they will take the money for the trip faire.  As soon as Sam sat down in the car he saw a young man approaching the Vehicle.  God spoke to him that he was sending the young man to help him.  The young man was the last man to enter the car.  The moment the car took off the young man started praying in tounges.  Then Sam started praying in tounges as well.  Sam and the young man did not know each other at all but they prayed in the spirit until they approached the boarder of the Benin Republic .  The young man stopped praying but Sam continued praying.  At the border the driver asked for the faire.  Sam did not have the faire money. The driver touched Sam to get his attention and the young man said not to distrurb Sam as he was praying. The young man paid the fair for Sam.  Sam continued praying for some time. When Sam had stopped praying the car was arriving at a city in Togo. The young man told the driver that he wanted to get off in the city. The driver stopped the car.  The young man asked Sam to talk with him briefly outside in private.  The young man told him that God lead him to give him money in two currencies.  This was the money of both Ghana and two countries which share the same money:  Benin Republic and Togo.  The total of the two currencies was about $1200.  Sam had never met this young man, and did not talk to him or tell him what he was doing or where he was going.  God did all the talking!  This supernatural provision allowed Sam to travel to and from Ghana and covered all of his expenses while on his trip.  Sam went on to preach a weeklong event in the Prision in Ghana.  Many souls came to know Jesus in the largest prision in Ghana.  All Glory is to Jesus!

We hope that you are encouraged to believe God even in the face of disappointments, setbacks, and trails.  Remember that all things work together for the good of those who love God.
